» The turf I prefer to use is very very old. It is almost as black as coal and is speckled with tiny pieces of mica. In retrospect, it was the mountain turf itself that prompted me to work with it. «


The exhibition Arboreta cogitata et depinta comprised of fifty five works building strongly on Sheehan´s previous themes – elaborating on the physical and metaphysical aspects of mountain turf.
